Isaiah 62:4

Estimated Reading Time: 4 minutes

You shall no more be termed Forsaken, and your land shall no more be termed Desolate,
but you shall be called My Delight is in Her, and your land Married;
for the LORD delights in you, and your land shall be married.

Dear Moon,

Can you feel the weight of these tears that won’t stop falling as your starlight keeps piling up on my heart? Can you feel the depth of these wounds that won’t stop bleeding as your smiles keep flickering in my mind? Can you feel the days and the hours between my heartfelt pleas for your salvation and the moment your heart is finally found? Can you feel the distance from this heart that won’t stop hoping until you are home, in His arms, safe and sound?

Call me a fool, but I only speak what Truth has given me to say. Why should I care for you, a lost goddess on the enemy’s side? My King cared for me when I stood exactly where you are, as one of His enemies, and He paid with His life. Life Himself willingly surrendered to death, and death was utterly defeated as it was swallowed up by Life. If my Lord cares for you as He does for me, how can I not care for you? I see the young girl in the mirror, and in her eyes I find the young boy in my own heart. He is crying for her. He cries for her in sorrow and in hope.

You dream of your heart overflowing with love; has your heart ever been full, dear one?

You dream of your heart overflowing with love; has your heart ever been full, dear one? Filled with true joy—a single drop enough to make deserts bloom and turn the wilderness into a lush garden—and not the idolatrous imitations that only replace the void with more emptiness? I see your dream come true, and it is more beautiful than you have ever dreamt. Naomi, my Lord delights in you, and you shall know it as a bride knows her bridegroom’s delight in her. Dear heart, you were never truly forsaken, for in your desolation He will come and bring you home.

My heavy heart laughs in the midst of its tears. It finds rest in the Conquering King who will rescue you. All things are created by him, for him, and through him. You were made for His pleasure, for His delight, and you will delight in Him and find your heart’s purpose. Nothing and no one can keep Him from what is His, and you are His, beloved, from before His Song breathed the worlds to be.

Can you feel the weight of these tears that won’t stop falling as His light shining in your face is mirrored in my heart? Can you feel the depth of these wounds as we lay down our lives for each other with laughter and smiles? Can you feel the days and the hours between our heartfelt pleas for our Scarred Savior to return and the moment our hearts will be fully unveiled as we see face to face? Can you feel our heart beating as one, hoping to forever be held in His arms?
